Our research focuses on phytoplankton, ranging from revisiting the phenology of primary production to developing integrated approaches for observing polar marine ecosystems. Together, these contributions demonstrate how a better understanding of the interactions between the cryosphere, the ocean, biodiversity, and climate change has led to a more integrated view of how polar ecosystems function.
